Brenda Bennett

Brenda June Bennett, 70 of Ward, AR went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Spring Creek Health & Rehab in Cabot, AR. She was born April 15, 1947 in Bernardstown, WV to Bonnie Bennett Wolverton. She loved her family, cooking, gardening, animals and serving our Lord.  She served as Deacon, American Red Cross Director, City Council Member, School Crossing Guard, life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was a paraprofessional school teacher, homemaker, and a devoted mother and friend to many.

She is survived by her sons Dwayne (wife Sandi) Bennett of Chesterfield, VA and Tim (wife Denise) Bennett of Ward, AR; daughters Angela (husband Mark) Cassel of Strawberry Plains, TN and Amber (husband Colin) Hare of Lucas, TX; brothers Bennie Morgan (wife Barbara) Cowger and James Martin (wife Alida) Cowger; sister Linda Westfall; grandchildren Shelby Bennett, Amy Bennett, Joshua Turner, Joseph Turner, Seth Bennett, Cassidy Boyer, Samuel Coyle, Miriam Cassel, Kaitlyn Hare, Jackson Hare, Brendan Hare, and Lachlan Hare; and great-grandchildren Colton Bennett and Chloe Von Boyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Irene Clevenger and Sharon Tomco.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowland Cemetery, Bergoo.
