Alma Mustoe

Alma E. Springston Mustoe, 86 of Webster Springs, died on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at her residence.  She was born on Dec. 7, 1924, in Bolair, WV, the daughter of the late Hugh and Veda Moffett Springston.  She was a former housekeeping department employee of the Webster County Memorial Hospital, attended the Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening and working at the Mountain Marketplace Mission.       In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  William Mustoe,   son:  William Hanson Mustoe, Jr. and sisters:  Evelyn Shaffer and Ilean Springston.      She is survived by her sons:  John (Ruth) Mustoe and Jerry (Nina) Mustoe both of Webster Springs, daughters:  Garnet Irene Kraft of Jane Lew, WV, Mary Ellen (Charles) Courtland of Fredricksburg, VA, Nancy Ward of Bealeton, VA, Martha Jean Smith of Webster Springs, Janet (Joe) Brummage of Frostburg, MD, and Janice Morgan of Winchester, VA, brother:  Jimmy Springston of Cowen, WV, 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.      Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Rev. John Radcliff officiating.  Burial will follow in the McAvoy Cemetery, Bolair, WV.  Friends may call on Monday, Feb. 14, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at doddreedfh.com.
