Amma Perrine

Amma Lorena Tyler Perrine 83 of Cowen passed away at her home with her family by her side. Lorena or "Jink" was born in Arcola on December 13, 1926 a daughter of the late Henry A. and Amma Weese Tyler. Also preceding her in death was husband John Paul Perrine, brothers, Aaron; Clifford; Roy; and Clarence Tyler; sisters, Velva Mazzella and Edith Sutton. Lorena retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years service. She was a member of Arcola United Methodist Church, Webster County Historical Society and Cowen Rebecca Lodge No. 105. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include Son, John W. "Chip" & Kathy Perrine of Cowen; daughters, Paula & Dewayne Varney, Cowen; Priscilla & Charley Walkup of Charleston; and Beverly & Keith Sheltpn of Parkersburg; 6-grandchildren and 4-great-grandchildren. Service will be held Tuesday June 22, 2010 at 10:00AM in Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. James Gray officiating. Burial will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends we be received Monday June 21, 2010 from 5:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
