Ania Cowger

Ania Cowger passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 in Buckhannon at the age of 95. She was born May 5, 1915 in Skelt, W.Va. to the late Neal Cogar and Viola (Pugh) Cogar.
Ania is preceded into death by both her parents, her husband; Sylvester Cowger, one son; Ansel "Pete" Cowger, one daughter; Nina Grounds, and several brother and sisters.
Ania is survived by her son; Sylvester "Buster" and wife Karen Cowger of Elizabeth, WV, and four daughters; Phyllis Steiding and husband Lester of Buckhannon, Susan Hamilton and husband Donnie of Center Hill, Florida, Emogene Sandridge of Webster Springs and Shirley Bosley and husband Kenny of Baltimore, Maryland. Ania was also blessed with 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs. Services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Arlin Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Hodam Cemetery in Hacker Valley.
