Arleta Grimmett of Webster Springs died Friday, January 21, 2011 at the age of 86. Arleta was born November 28, 1924 in Richwood, WV to the late Oscar Hamrick and Launa Bennett Hamrick.
Arleta is survived by her four sons; John Wilson of Webster Springs, WV Mike Wilson of Alliance, OH, Doug Wilson of Fenwick, WV, and Ernest Wilson of Salem OH, two daughters; Mildred Allen of Webster Springs, WV and Carol Reynolds of Salem, OH, brother; Eddie Hamrick of Summersville, WV, and sisters; Helen Knight of Strausburg, VA, Jean Chapman and Leora Collins both of Richwood, WV. Arleta was also blessed to have 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Arleta was preceded into death by her parents; Oscar and Launa Hamrick, first husband; Woodrow Wilson, second husband; Phillip Grimmett, two brothers; Willard Hamrick and Clyde Hamrick, and one sister; Ellanora "Cricket" Boggs.
Friends will be received Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6-9 pm at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs, WV. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11am with Rev. Paul Rounds officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Fenwick, WV. Online condolences can be made at doddreedfh.com
