Barbara Ann Kopanko

Barbara Ann Kopanko, 70 of Hacker Valley passed away Friday, December 15, 2023.  Barb was born September 24, 1953 in Fairmont and was the daughter of the late William and Joan Ruth Sheranko Koval, Jr.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles Koval.

Barb was very proud of recently being baptized.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, canning, cross stitching, watching the hummingbirds, was a great cook and loved her pets.  You could regularly see Barb helping at the Jerry Run Summer Theater or cooking meals for the Hacker Valley Senior Citizen Dinners. 

Surviving are her husband, Ron Kopanko; brothers, Mike (Barb) Koval of Ft Myers, FL and Rick (Linda) Koval of Bruceton Mills, WV; special friend and caregiver, Vicki Bowen, her furry companion, Penny; and als,o several in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2023, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Dwayne Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Cutlip Cemetery, Bendertown.  Friends may join the family for visitation 11 AM until service time at the funeral home on Friday.
