Billy Joe Armentrout, 47, of Webster Springs, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Webster Memorial Hospital.
Born April 24, 1977, he was the son of Sharon (Lewis) Armentrout and the late Joseph Armentrout. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Everett and Mary Lucille Armentrout and Edgar and Faye Lewis.
Billy was a Green End Operator for Columbia Forest Products. From a young age, he enjoyed the outdoors; he was very involved in the county 4-H program, first being a camper, and then eventually returning as a camp counselor so that he could share his love of the outdoors with others. His favorite things to do were camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed playing and watching sports. Growing up, he played baseball and basketball, and then later, he enjoyed golfing. Billy’s favorite teams were the Washington Redskins and the Oakland A’s; and he enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling. You could often find him working on cars, as he was a rather good mechanic. But, above all, he loved his time with his grandsons: Gabriel, Greyson, and Ryder.
In addition to his mother, Sharon, he is survived by his wife, Lori (Morrison) Armentrout; children: Hailey Hall (River), Maddisyn Armentrout, and Karson Armentrout; grandsons, and loves of his life: Gabriel Armentrout, Greyson Hall, and Ryder Hall; brother, Jonathan Lee Armentrout (Lynn); sister, Sherry Lynn (Armentrout) Williams (Corey); nieces, nephews, and great-nieces: Justin (Lexi) and their daughters: A’mya and Aria; Jaden (Kaitlen) and their daughter, Klaire; Cassie, Parker, Valerie, and Eli; best friends, who were more like brothers: Bennie Anderson, Marty and Mitchell Moffatt, Tommy Collins, and Ralph Staton; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services to celebrate Billy’s life will be held 4PM, Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Bro. Tommy Collins and Pastor Doy Carpenter officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation from 2PM-4PM prior to the service time.
