Charles E. Boggs

Charles E. Boggs, 62 of Webster Springs passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at WVU Hospital Ruby Memorial. He was born June 4, 1962 in Nicholas County to the late Edmond and Lorene Cogar Boggs and was a mechanic. He was raised by his mother, Lorene (Midge) and Curtis Wilfong.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, digging ginseng, and spending time outdoors. He loved helping people and making people laugh. He enjoyed tinkering on anything from fishing poles to small engines. Charlie loved spending time with his grandkids and hanging out with his friends. As his final contribution to the world, some of his body and organs were able to be donated to science and donors; organ donation was close to his heart because several of his close friends and family have benefitted from it, including: Joe Morton, Bob Barnette, his grandson Rage Bennett, and more.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Katrina Fleming and brothers: Butch Boggs, Jim Boggs, and Larry Boggs.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Phalon (Randy) Bennett, Alex (Brian) Boggs, and Audrei (Tyler) Bender; daughters of his heart: Gabby Fleming and Shaunie Vaden; brothers: Don Boggs, Mike Boggs, Tom Boggs, Robert Boggs, and David Boggs; grandchildren: Rage, Ryatt, Riker, Maria, Miya, Parker, Levi, Brody, Claire, Xavier, Aurora, and Kyrie; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to service time, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Dodd & Reed Funeral Home to assist the family with costs.
