Charles Tonkin

Charles William "Bill" Tonkin, 70 of Upperglade, WV, died suddenly at his home on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011. He was born in Webster County, Aug. 30, 1941, the son of the late Charles M. and Frances A. Mathews Tonkin. He was a life long resident of Webster County, a Pentecostal by faith and a dry kiln operator for Leslie Brothers.
He is survived by his wife: Jackie Welch Tonkin of Upperglade, son: Charles William Tonkin, Jr. of New York, step-son: Franklin Stephen Elliott of Camden on Gauley, WV, brothers: Bob Tonkin and Larry Tonkin of Sophia, NC, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
His request was to donate his body to Human Gift Registry. Adams-Reed is assisting the family with these arrangements.
