Danny Lynn Clevenger, of Dunbar, WV went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2019. Danny was born in West Virginia on February 11, 1964 to Ralph and Geraldine Clevenger.
He was predeceased by his Beloved Mother, Geraldine Clevenger; Loving Sister, Janet Louise Clevenger; Paternal Grandparents, Onie & Gathel Clevenger; and Maternal Grandparents, Orval & Letha Eubank.
Leaving behind his Daughters, Tracie Clevenger of Shippensburg, PA; Brittany & Jonathan Tom of San Antonio, TX; Rebecca Boldyga of Hagerstown, MD; Stepson, Eric Specht of Walton, WV; Granddaughter, Elizabeth Boldyga of Hagerstown, MD and Grandchild, Baby Tom of San Antonio, TX. Father, Ralph and Stepmother, Connie Clevenger. Siblings: Linda and David Breitenstein of Fredericksburg, PA; Ferrell & Sally Clevenger of Hagerstown, MD; Brenda Hetterich of Finksburg, MD; Barbara & David Simmons of Littlestown, PA; Shirley & Dave Boteler of Westminster, MD; Onie and Katherine Clevenger of Keymar, MD. Mother of his Daughters, Lori Clevenger and Mother of Stepson, Samantha Clevenger. Nieces and Nephews: Theresa Meacham, Dale Cutlip, Steven Clevenger, John Kunkel, Amy Clevenger, Dwayne Simmons, Sam Breitenstein Bradley Simmons, Deanna Colls, Ernest Clevenger, and Jessica Clevenger. Several Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.
Danny was born in West Virginia and grew up in Finksburg, MD. He graduated from Westminster High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp just after graduation. Danny honorably served his country for four years. He went on to earn his certifications for HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and eventually ran his own company for several years. He later returned to West Virginia and continued working in the HVAC Industry. Danny became a Christian when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Danny was a joyful man always laughing and telling funny stories and jokes. Those who knew him well, knew he was a sentimental man and was very tender hearted. Danny worked tirelessly to provide for his family and always willing to lend a hand to others. His greatest gift in life was his children, he loved talking about their accomplishments and he adored each of them tremendously.
Services to celebrate Danny's life will be held 1PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Bennie Cowger and Barb Cowger officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at Hodam Creek Cemetery, Hacker Valley.
Friends may join the family one hour prior to the services for visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
