David Young

David Paul Young, 70, of Bolair went to be with the Lord Friday, November 22, 2019.  David was born March 30, 1949 in Richwood, WV and was the son of the late George and Eva Milam Young.  Also preceding him in death are a granddaughter, Haley Young, brothers, Velton and Sonny Young and sisters, Genelda Young and Edra Green.

David was a member of Emmanuel Assembly of God, Upperglade where he served as a board member.  He was United States Army Veteran and previously owned his own construction company; he also worked at ICG where he retired with 19 years of service.  David loved to hunt, stock fish, and enjoyed helping with the upkeep of the Bolair ballfield.  He was also considered the family handyman, always willing to help with whatever needed done, he loved attending family gathering and was the glue that held the family together.

Surviving are his loving wife, Suzie Clutter Young; sons, Paul (Brandi) Young and Mike (Linda) Young and a daughter, Emily Meador; grandchildren, Abby, Sawyer, Ryleigh and Traycen; brothers, Jeff (Sandy) Young, John (Shirley) Young and Mark (Shirley) Young; sisters, Alida (Marty) Cowger, Nancy Williams, Shirley (Al) Tibbs and Patsy (Don) Rice and also many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Marty Cowger officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Young Cemetery, Bolair.  Friends may join the family for visitation 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
