Dellis Smith

Dellis K. Smith 66 of Greenup, KY formally of Webster County, WV passed away Wednesday May 26, 2010 in Our Lady of Belfonte Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Sutton, WV on November 8, 1943 the son of the late Theodore and Martha Sanson Smith. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Denver; Harold; Don & Dennis Smith; sisters, Delphie Barnett; Mary Jane Crawford; Faye Rapp; Irene Barnett; and Arlene Squires. Dellis was a disabled coal miner and had lived for the past 20 years in Greenup, KY. Survivors include wife, Evelyn Morales Smith of Greenup, KY; son, Don A. Smith of Flatwoods, KY; daughter, Martha O'Hara of San Mateo, CA; brothers, Franklin "Buddy" Smith of Savanna, GA and Hugh Smith of Richwood, WV; and 4-grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday May 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Sam Nichols of Bergoo, WV officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen. Friends will be received Saturday May 29, 2010 from 5:-8PM at the funeral home.
