Donnie Ray Hamrick, 59 of Bergoo, WV, died on Sept. 13, 2012 in Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Beckley. He was born in Webster Springs, WV, August 11, 1953 son of the late James Price and Nevada Emma Channell Hamrick.
He had lived all his life in Webster County and was a Union Mission by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half brother: LeRoy Everette Hamrick.
He is survived by his fiancAC.e: Danita Adkins, step-sons: Randall Adkins of Summersville, and Justin Adkins serving with the US Marines in Afghanistan, step daughter: Jessica Cowger of Jerry's Run, WV, brothers: Robert (Katie) Hamrick of Bolair, WV, and Buddy (Sandy) Hamrick of Webster Springs, WV, sisters: Nancy Adkins of Beckley, WV, Willogene (Frank) Brown of Oak Hill, WV, and Linda (Jimmy) Collins of Gassaway, WV, and 2 step grandchildren: Mackenzie Emma Rae Cowger and Harley Jayden James Cowger.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in the Swecker Cemetery, Monterville, WV. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
