Emogene Hickman

Emogene Hickman 84 of Camden on Gauley, WV passed away Sunday April 18, 2010 in Summersville Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born November 21, 1925 a daughter of the late Emery W. and Bessie A. Bailey Schartiger, she was also preceded in death by husband Homer L. Hickman; sister Onalee Schartiger; brothers, Daris Schartiger and Ronzel Schartiger; grandchildren, Freddie Sholes and Rebecca J. Hickman and great-granddaughter, Angela Sholes. A Baptist by faith, she enjoyed her family, listening to gospel music, gardening and canning. Survivors in clued sons, Ricky and Teresa Hickman; Ernest and Christine Hickman all of Camden on Gauley; and David and Margie Hickman of Craigsville; daughters, Cathy Hickman of Camden on Gauley; and Betty and Tom Sholes of DeMotte, IN; brothers, Charles Schartiger of Camden on Gauley; George Schartiger of Summersville; and Arlin Schartiger of Uniotown, OH; 8-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 4-great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday April 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen. Burial will follow in West Virginia Memorial gardens, Calvin.
