Eugene Howard Hamrick

Eugene Howard “Brownie” Hamrick, 74 of Craigsville, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Summersville Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

He was born November 26, 1949 in Bergoo to the late Lloyd J. and Velva Hamrick. He was an equipment operator and a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Emory Richard Hamrick, Elzie Hamrick, and Earlus Hamrick; and sister Edna Cowell.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Jason Hamrick; daughter Lanie Nicole Wells; sisters Loretta Cable and Edie Hamrick; special friends Lisa and Monkey Tonkin; several nieces, nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services to celebrate Eugene’s life will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Bennie Cowger officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Meadowland Cemetery, Bergoo.

Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to service time at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.
