Frankie Wilson Morris, Sr., 88 of Diana, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Webster County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 14, 1929 in Elkton, VA to Julia Merica and was a United States Navy Veteran.
Frankie was a truck driver and worked in the construction industry. He loved to play poker, chase women, play pool, drive his four-wheeler, “chew his chew”, and listen to bluegrass music.
Frankie is survived by his son Frankie (wife Charolette) Morris, Jr.; brother Donald Merica; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother; first wife Mary Lee Sweet Morris; second wife Lucille Sears Morris; daughter Mary Hansel; brother Randalph Merica; and sister Delores.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Frankie’s life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Ty Farlow officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery, Diana.
