French J. Hammons passed away at his home on April 27, 2010 after a brief illness. He was born At Dyer, WV on September 30, 1929 a son of the late George Burns and Lucinda Roberts Hammons. He was a disbled coal miner and lived his life in Webster County. Survivors include brothers, Robert Hammons of Craigsville, WV; and Cecil Hammons of Gauley Bridge, WV. Graveside services will be held Saturday May 1, 2010 in Alex Williams Cemetery, Cranberry Ridge near Camde on Gauley, WV, with Rev. Ronnie Ward officating.
