Hullena Ann Cogar, 75, of Webster Springs, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Webster County Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 12, 1940 in Webster County. She was a teacher for several years and had a passion for teaching children how to read. Hullena worked at Summersville Job Service, the Mon Power Office in Webster Springs and served as a Webster County Commissioner. She was a Christian, enjoyed reading the Bible, being active in politics, spending time with her faithful dog, Benji and spending time with her grandchildren.
Hullena was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Gladys Groves; sister, Sharron Cochran; and her husband of 49 years, Bernard “Dink” Cogar.
Survivors include her sons, Howard “Eugene” (wife, Kim) Cogar and Tom (wife, Jayme) Cogar, all of Webster Springs; adopted daughter, Patty (husband, Stanley) Pugh of Braxton County; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be held 11 AM on Monday, September 21, 2015 with the Reverend Curt Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Dave Cogar Cemetery, Sugar Creek.
Friends may join the family for visitation from 6-9 on Sunday.
