At 10:15 AM on the morning of April 16, 2020 our sweet Aunt Irene bid this earthly home good-bye and stepped through Heaven’s Gate to share eternity with her Lord and Savior.
Ida Irene Hamrick was born February 25, 1931 in Webster Springs to Wesley and Mary Cool Hamrick. She was preceded in death by both parents; sister Helen; and brother Harry.
She is survived by one niece and spouse Sherri and Larry Anderson of Webster Springs; one nephew and spouse Stewart and Sue Hamrick of Warren, OH; four great-nephews Danial, Brian, Aron, and Steve; two great-nieces Summer and Amber; five great-great-nephews Christopher, Jacob, Joshua, Ethan, and Xander; two great-great-nieces Abby and Jasmine; and many other extended family and friends to mourn her passing.
Irene lived most of her life on her family’s farm and was a licensed LPN who loved and retired from Webster County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, bead work, cooking, watching TV, and sightseeing. Her greatest pleasure came from time spent with her family and friends.
Due to the restrictions on the funeral home during the COVID-19 outbreak, there will be a graveside service at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grassy Creek, with Pastor Larry Cochran officiating.
