James King

James King, 60, of Webster Springs went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 20, 2019 at St. Francis Select Specialty in Charleston, surrounded by family.

He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a child of God.

Born May 19, 1959 in Charleston, he was the son of the late Jimmy King, Jr. and Goldie (Peters) King.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Christopher King.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Diana (Jenkins) King; daughter, Ashley Diana King (companion, Lee Hosey) of Webster Springs; son, Joseph Bradley King (companion, Shawn King) of New Haven; two grandchildren, Bryana Hughart and Isaac Hosey; lifelong friends, Randy Michaels, Brandon Jenkins, and Patrick Smith; faithful companion, his dog, Molly;  and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services to celebrate James’ life will be held 2PM, Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Steve White officiating.  Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Parcoal.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
