James David Mick, 80, of Webster Springs, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at Wetzel County Hospital.
Born June 13, 1944, he was the son of the late Henry and Fonda (Cogar) Mick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Maxine (Cogar) Mick; brother, Wendell Mick; sisters: Caroline Clayton, Barbara Hines, and Patty Mick; step-daughter, Frankie Cochran; and nephew, Timmy Hines.
David was a mechanic in the United States Army and served during war time in Vietnam. He played the guitar and was a self-proclaimed comedian, who was always playing pranks and jokes on others.
Left to cherish his memory are his step-son, Jesse (Kim) Skidmore; great-granddaughters: Makinsey Hinkle, Adriana Hinkle, and Dieta Skeens; niece and nephew: Becky (Jim) Cutlip, Jim (Sharon) Clayton, and Larry Mick; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Graveside services with Military Honors to celebrate Dave’s life will be held 2pm, Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Cogar Cemetery, Desert Fork with Pastor Jim Varney officiating.
