Jodeen Annette Spiker McCourt, 81 of Webster Springs passed away on March 20, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born in Freemont, Nebraska on April 21, 1943 to the late Leroy and Bernice (Hugleman) Spiker.
Jodeen attended and graduated from Blair High School, then married the love of her life, Jennings, on May 11, 1962. They moved to Ft. Benning, GA where they resided until returning to WV. She was a homemaker, spending most of her time with her family.
Jodeen is survived by one daughter: Shelly (Fred) Velasco; one son: Mark McCourt; grandchildren: April Cochran, Amber (Scott) Hamrick, James Cochran, Tyler Neal, Gage (Deaunna) McCourt, and Jenna McCourt; great-grandchildren: Lottie and Aryana Hamrick; and one expected due in September; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jennings; parents; and siblings: Ron, Bill, Richard, and Gayle; all of Nebraska.
The family would like to thank WV Hospice for their care as well as Polly Henline.
Services to celebrate Jodeen’s life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Curt Davis officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to service time, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
