Joe Armentrout, 62, of 71 Duffy St., Webster Springs died April 13, 2011, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, after an extended illness.

Born Dec. 1, 1948, in Webster Springs, he was a son of Mary Armentrout of Webster Springs and the late Everett Armentrout. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Armentrout.

Mr. Armentrout was an installer for Frontier Communications and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a lifelong resident of Webster County and enjoyed bowling, playing gospel music in various churches, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and singing nursery rhymes with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sharon Ann Armentrout of Webster Springs; daughter, Sherry Lynn (Corey) Armentrout of Webster Springs; sons, Jonathan Lee (Lynn) and Billy Joe (Melanie) Armentrout, both of Webster Springs; granddaughters, Hailey Cheyenne and Maddisyn Bre Ann Paige Armentrout, both of Webster Springs, Jaden Lynn Armentrout of Danville and Cassie Renee Armentrout of Webster Springs; grandsons, Justin Lee Armentrout of Danville and Karson Everett Armentrout and Parker Joseph Williams, both of Webster Springs; sisters, Vivian (Manzel) Crites, Dorothy (Duke) Lewis and Rose (Gary) Cogar, all of Webster Springs; and brothers, Odie (Annabelle), Steve and Dean Armentrout, all of Webster Springs.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday April 17, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with the Rev. Cofer Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
