Kirby Dean Schrader, 45 of Buckhannon passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born September 4, 1968 in Webster Springs to Edward and Arletta Hamrick Schrader and was a Golf Course Supervisor for Deerfield Country Club for 12 years. He was a man of many trades. He was also a logger, a carpenter, a mechanic, and was Methodist by faith. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching football. He loved to laugh and make people happy.
Kirby is survived by his wife Judith Keener Schrader of Buckhannon; daughter Jennifer (Benjamin) Riley of Jane Lew; son Bubby (Latocha) Kelley of Buckhannon; step-son Mark (fiancAC. Anisha Hull) Metz of Horner; brother Doug (Carolyn) Schrader of Webster Springs; sisters Jeannie (Lee) Hull of Webster Springs and Lora (Paul) Kimble of Elyria, OH; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Mikey Kelley; brothers Stanley Schrader and Edwin W. Schrader; and sister Sherry Young.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Kirby's life will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Curt Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
