Lucy Anderson

Lucy Jane DeGarmo Anderson age 80 of Webster Springs passed away October 21, 2018.  Lucy was born March 30, 1938 in Pickens, WV and was the daughter of the late Harry and Nora Ellen Claypool DeGarmo.  Along with her parents Lucy is also preceded in death by her loving husband Hugh Anderson; sons, David, Hubert and Donald Anderson; siblings, Alice Helmick, Mary Langdon, Annie Giest and Earl DeGarmo.

Lucy was a member of the Cherry Falls Chapel Church.  She enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible, fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Davis; grandchildren, Rachel (Kevin) Hall, Rodney (Lorie) Anderson, Jennifer Nichols, Delbert Davis and Kelly (Robert) Gibson; great grandchildren, Sandra (Steven) Rule, Dalton Anderson, Devin Hall, Robert Gibson, Ryan Gibson, Riley Gibson, Timothy Carpenter, Zephina Carpenter and Nevaeh Cartwright and one great great granddaughter Gracie Hope Rule; brother Dale DeGarmo and special friend Madeline Nichols.

Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday October 27, 2018 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Sam Nichols and Pastor Larry Cochran officiating.  Burial will follow at Wheeler Cemetery, Replete.  Friends may join the family for visitation 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
