Mabel Brooks formerly of Diana died Friday February 25, 2011 at the age of 90. Mabel was born January 3, 1921 to the late Homer Davis and Nettie Cogar Davis.
Mabel was preceded into death by her parents: Homer and Nettie Davis, husband: Basil Lance Brooks, brothers: Roy Davis and Dorman Davis, and two sisters: Glada Cool and Ida Davis.
Mabel is survived by her children: Dana (Marie) Brooks, Elmer (Ruth) Brooks, and Linda Cowger, grandchildren: Gary Brooks, Brian (Marcie) Brooks, Glen Brooks, Jeffery (Lisa) Brooks, Amy, Tara and Dusten, she is also survived by her great grandchildren: Cole and Jordann Brooks, brother: Charles (Nyoka) Davis, and several nieces, nephews.
Service will be at 11am Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs with Rev. Curt Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Cemetery on Holly River Road in Webster Springs. Friends will be received Monday, February 28, 2011 from 6-9 pm. Online condolences can be made at doddreedfh.com
