Madelean Bethel Hamrick, 98 of Webster Springs passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Webster County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 19, 1916 in Webster Springs to Reuben George and Ada Bernice Smith Anderson and retired from K-Mart after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Webster Springs and loved gardening and spending time in her flower beds. She enjoyed being active when she was able and was a very kind and wonderful woman; willing to help anyone in need.
Madelean is survived by her nephew Larry (wife Sherri) Anderson of Webster Springs; niece Linda (husband Rick) Cogar of Webster Springs; great-nephew Steve (wife Amber) Anderson of Webster Springs; best friend Hazel Talbott; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde W. Hamrick; brothers and sisters Wesley Anderson, Bessie Dodrill, Russie Workman, Ruth Wallace, Ruby Corley, and Walter "Bud" Anderson; and best friends Beulah Moore and Ruby Bright.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Steve White officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowland Cemetery, Bergoo.
