Marilyn Louise Coleman, 43 of Newton, Roane County, formerly of Diana, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. She was born in Montgomery on August 29, 1970 and lived the majority of her teenage years with her foster parents, Paul E. and Rondlynn J. Ratliff Cool, who loved her dearly. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, swimming, and traveling. She was a joy to be around and always had a smile for everyone.
Marilyn is survived by her parents; brother Michael Cool; natural mother Della Coleman; several sisters; special friend David Linger; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her natural father and several brothers.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, June 10, 2014 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Holly River Baptist Church. Funeral Services to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Scott Posey officiating. Interment will follow in Holly River Baptist Church Cemetery.
