Odell O. Edward Hamrick, 85 of Webster Springs passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division. He was born October 1, 1927 in Lick Run to John Andrew Jackson and Sarah Lou Baldwin Hamrick and was a truck driver for O.L. Herbert Company. He was a lifelong resident of Webster County and attended Elk Valley Chapel.
Odell is survived by his sons Gary (wife Sue) Robinson of Bolair, Richard (wife Joan) Robinson of Bolair, Michael (wife Connie) Robinson of Webster Springs, Jeffrey (wife Tammie) Robinson of Camden-on-Gauley, and Bobby Joe Robinson of Webster Springs; daughters Sue Wade of Upper glade and Sonya (husband Gary) Gadd of Cowen; brother Okey Hamrick of Grassy Creek; 25 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mildred Marilee Mallette Hamrick; daughter Brenda Helmick; brothers Corley, Ordy, Lacy, and Esley Hamrick; sisters Nettie Cutlip, Betty Cutlip, Ellie Hamrick, Effie Hamrick, Alta Hamrick, Sarah Hamrick, and Bertie Jane Cowger.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Odell's life will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Larry Lovely officiating. Interment will follow in Cutlip Lick Run Cemetery.
