Oliver Lawrence Mullins 86, of Beckley, WV, died in Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY, on Sept. 18, 2014. He was born in Webster County, WV, March 9, 1928, son of the late Howard Mullins and Iva Payne Trenter. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with more than 21 years of service. He was a Methodist by faith, a member of the V.F.W. and enjoyed bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents: first wife: Ruby Green, two brothers, one sister and three sons-in-law.
He is survived by his wife: Ruth Ann of Beckley, WV, daughters: Judy Ann Mullins, Beverlie Ruth Burr, Angela Rae Allen and Meloney Lynn Wilson, brothers: Fred of clarksburg, WV, Bernard and Dempsey Trenter of Webster Springs, sisters: Tresta Colburn of Mesa, AZ, Daisy Alt of Green Springs, WV, Elizabeth Trenter and Esta McElwain both of Webster Springs, 11 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Cofer Cochran officiating. Burial will be in West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown, WV, with military honors. Friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 21, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
