Phalla "Faye" Mae Spears, 69 of Claremont, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. She was born May 20, 1943 in Guardian to Jesse Baxter and Genevie McElwain Cool and was a homemaker. She attended Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church in Lincolnton, NC and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and reading.
Faye is survived by her husband Robert A. Spears; son Robert A. Jr. and wife Terri Spears of Claremont; daughter Melissa A. Spears of Maiden, NC; sister Elloise and husband Roger Cutlip of Guardian; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Cogar Cemetery, Guardian.
