Retha Hall passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the age of 70. Retha was born in Webster Springs on May 5, 1940 to the late Freeman Basil McCoy and Lucinda Hull McCoy.

Retha was a member of the WCARSP, and was very active as a member of her church. She attended Holly River Baptist Church in Diana; she was the choir director, she also played accordion, piano and sang, she assistant in bible school and was also a bible class teacher for pre-school through 2nd grade. She enjoyed many other things like camping with family, and being a sports mom. Retha was an excellent housewife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Retha is preceded into death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; Jerry Hall of Diana, four sons; Kirt (Sheila) Hall of Webster Springs, WV, Kent Hall of Summersville, WV, Kip Hall of Flatwoods, WV, and Kyle (Pam) Hall also of Webster Springs, WV, one daughter; Kella (John) Hobbs of Beckley, WV, five brothers; Delmas McCoy , Roger McCoy, and Mitchell McCoy all of Webster Springs, WV, Robert McCoy of Charlestown, WV, and Avery McCoy of Germantown, MD, ten grandchildren; Sherry, Jamie, Chad, Paige, Stacy, Thomas, Briar, Megan, Samuel, and Sarah, she was also blessed with five great grandchildren; Bryson, Riddick, Jacey, Sophia, and Grady.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 6-9 pm at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs. Services will be Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11 am with Rev. Kyle Hall officiating. Burial will follow at WV Memorial Gardens in Calvin. Dodd & Reed Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
