Rev. Harry Green 91 of Poplar Bluff. MO formally of Cowen, went to be with his Lord, at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Arcola, WV on December 15, 1918 a son of the late Noah and Campsell Keller Green. He was preceded in death also by brothers, Shella; Grover; Allen; Cecil; Arlie and Jennis Green; sisters, Roxie Clevenger and Goldie Givens. Rev. Harry was Minister for 46 years, conducting 69 wedding, several funerals, conducting services in 133 churches, bring people to the Lord. A retired coal miner with over 30 years service; a member of Halo United Methodist Church, and U.S. Army veteran during WWII. He was an avid hunter being inducted into the West Virginia Turkey Hall of Fame. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Kathryn Giles Green of Poplar Bluff, MO; sons, Victor and his wife Barbara Green of Poplar Bluff, MO; H. Kyle and his wife Sue Green of Charleston, WV; 7-grandchildren; 9-great-grandchildren and 10-great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday May 1, 2010 at 11:00AM in Adams-Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Williams and Rev. Bobby Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen, WV.
