Rosa Lee “Peggy” Paugh, 84 of Shepherdstown, formerly of Webster Springs, peacefully went home to be with her Lord while in the presence of her family on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Canterbury Center. She was born February 29, 1932 in Webster Springs to the late Elbin Cogar and Mabel Tharp Fox.
She was a lifelong resident of Webster Springs, except in the last year when she was flooded out of Nicholas County Nursing Home and went to Canterbury Center in Shepherdstown near her daughter Judee McGinley.
Rosa used to be well known as Mountain Rose, her CB handle. She liked pretty things surrounding her and pretty clothes.
She loved her family greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William “Bill” Paugh; and sister Ellen Cogar. She is survived by her daughter Judee Lynch (husband Bill) McGinley of Falling Waters, WV; grandsons, Kenny Mussell of Hagerstown, MD and Matthew (wife Heidi) McCourt of Manassas, VA; great-grandchildren, Chrissy McCourt (husband Brett) Cochran of Cherry Falls and Colin McCourt of Manassas, VA; brother Harry “Bubby” Cogar of Planterville, AL; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 11:30 to 1:30 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM at Miller Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
