Sharon McCartney of Webster Springs died Monday, January 10, 2011 at Webster County Memorial Hospital at the age of 66. Sharon was born May 11, 1944 in Weston, WV, to the late Cecil Pugh and Genevie Davis Pugh.
Sharon is survived by her husband: Martin McCartney of Webster Springs, sons: Matthew (Lynn) Melanson of Waterville, ME, Luke Melanson of Georgia, daughter: Angela Grubb of Maine, grandchildren: Charles McAinch, Ashley Melanson, and Susan Melanson all of Maine, and sisters: Doris Jordan of Hacker Valley, Mary Ellen Arbogast of Lynn, Mass, and Majorie Harrison of Georgia. She is preceded into death by her parents, one brother Cecil Pugh Jr., one sister Hazel Cokely, and one daughter Angela Sue Cowger.
Services will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1pm at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs with Rev. Darrell Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow at Hodam Creek Cemetery.
