Shirley Moran

Shirley Reed Moran, 88 of Webster Springs passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Louis A. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Clarksburg. She was born April 7, 1924 in Warren (Macomb County), Michigan to Sheldon and Josephine Schreck Reed and was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII. She was the Director of the Webster County Senior Citizens, a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, and previously worked as an office manager for Strong Memorial Hospital and Kodak in Rochester, New York.
Shirley is survived by her sons Dan (Crystal) Moran of Webster Springs and Michael (Rachel) Moran of Alderson; sisters Carole Lynn Mitchell of Port Sanalac, MI and Sister Mary Ann Reed of Esopus, NY; and grandchildren Jacob, Reed, Carrie, and Emma Moran. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Moran; parents; and sister Rita Schrader.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, January 10, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
