William Glenn Barbe, 49, of Diana, WV died suddenly on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. He was born in Webster Springs on September 20, 1960 to William Bradley and Doris June (Townsend) Barbe. Glenn lived his entire life in Webster County where he attended Holly River Baptist Church. Known to friends as Pokey, Glenn was a self-employed log truck driver that loved his work. He also enjoyed ATV mud races and hunting with his son. Glenn will be greatly missed by his parents; wife Beverly (Groves) Barbe; son Bradley Keith Barbe all of Diana, WV; daughters Jessica & husband Matt White of Craigsville and Sarah & husband Tim McIe of Hacker Valley; grandson Richard McIe; granddaughters Alexis & Jasmine White; sisters Judy & husband Rick Johnson of Mt. Nebo and Robin & husband Mike Hamrick of Webster Springs as well as his neighbors and friends. The funeral service will be on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 2 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Cosner officiating. Burial will be in the Big Run Cemetery, Diana. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the funeral home.
