About Us

Cathy was born and raised in Jellico, Tennessee. She is a 1997 graduate of Jellico High School.  She studied at University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY as well as Mid-America College of Funeral Services in Jeffersonville, IN where she graduated Salutatorian of her class in 2009. Cathy went on to obtain her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mortuary Science.  

Cathy married Matt Pettry in 2009 and is the mother of three sons: Tyler, Jake, and Sam Vanover; and one daughter (whom she shares with her husband), Allison Pettry. She is also a proud "Gigi" to her grandson, Tyren Vanover and his big sister, Maxen.

Matt and Cathy moved to Webster Springs in 2015, when they purchased Adams-Reed Funeral Home in Cowen and Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs.  

Matt was born in Charleston, WV, and is originally from Cabin Creek, WV. He is a 2001 graduate of Riverside High School.  He studied at WVU Tech in Montgomery, WV as well as Mid-America College of Funeral Services in Jeffersonville, IN where he graduated in 2009. 

 Matt married Cathy Pettry in 2009 and is the father of one daughter, Allison Pettry.  He also has two step-sons, Jake and Sam Vanover.
